10 ways to wake up beautiful.

Time Inc. Digital Studio
Time Inc. Digital Studio
1. Get an Early Start
Make a habit of washing your face a few hours before bed. If you wait until you're tired, you're more likely to blow it off -- allowing "toxins and dirt to stay on there all night," says dermatologist Laurie Polis of N.Y.C. Another consequence? You miss the best time to treat your skin. "At night there's more blood flow to the skin's surface, and there's nothing else on your face to interfere with absorption," Polis says.

Try: Neutrogena Deep Clean Relaxing nightly cleanser, $7; at drugstores.

2. Sleep on Your Back
Note to Audrey Hepburn fans: Lying on your stomach is bad for "beauty sleep." The average head weighs 7 to 8 pounds -- a lot of pressure to be putting on your face every night. In fact, many dermatologists say they can tell what side of the face people sleep on by the number of wrinkles there.

3. Get a Lift
Sleep with your head elevated on two pillows, or put the headrest area of your bed on 2- to 4-inch pieces of wood. Gravity helps lymph and blood flow so fluid won't accumulate, Polis says.

4. Save Money, Not Wrinkles

At night you don't need to worry about eye treatments smearing your makeup, so slather on the richest formula you can. Polis swears by Aquaphor: "It conditions lashes and hydrates the delicate eye skin really well."

Try: Aquaphor Healing ointment, $9;

5. Sneak a Glow
Mix a drop of self-tanner into your night cream or use a cream that contains a bit of tan-producing DHA.

Try: Clarins Radiance-Plus self-tanning cream, $52;

6. Avoid Carb Face
To wake with defined cheekbones, eat a high-protein, low-sugar dinner (try salmon and asparagus, a natural diuretic). Skip the rice, pasta and potatoes. "When our diet's high in glycemic carbohydrates, our features take on a soft, doughy appearance," says Connecticut dermatologist Nicholas Perricone.

7. Wrap It Up
To minimize A.M. frizz, sleep on a satin pillowcase or put your hair in a silk scarf. "Those fabrics are much softer than cotton, so there's less friction," says Harry Josh, a John Frieda stylist.

8. Find Your Inner Ballerina
Pile hair into a twist on the top of your head (use a scrunchie to avoid crimping). "In the morning you'll have major volume and beautiful waves," Josh says.

9. Turn on the Hair Conditioning
Sleep with a moisturizing treatment in damp hair overnight. We like Philip B. Katira Hair Masque, but any rich conditioner will do. Rinse in the morning.

Try: Philip B. Katira Hair Masque, $40;

10. Pop a Rooster Pill
Trust us, we were skeptical. But after swallowing two Wake Up on Time pills at 11 P.M., we found it much easier to get out of bed seven hours later. Created by a sleep-deprived single mother, the pills contain an energizing blend of thiamin, riboflavin, niacin, vitamins B6 and B12 and guarana-seed extract. It's formulated with a coating that releases ingredients into your bloodstream toward the end of your last sleep cycle, so you wake up feeling clear-headed, not fuzzy.

Try: Wake Up On Time, $30/40 tablets;

99cent store Haul!

1$ False lashes! Bargain! I am huge on lashes when it comes to doing my make up. I used to buy Ardell false lashes, but really most of them are the same and i find lashes ridiculous when they are expensive.

Cotton rounds.

New Magnifying mirror.

Okay so I bought this at another dollar store next door to the 99 cent store. I like Santee's lipsticks so I decided to give this tinted moisturizer a shot.

Okay this was a dollar and to be honest I was sketchy about it. I secretly opened one when no one was looking and tested some on my hand. To my surprise this stuff actually is great! I love thick creams, and my skin is really sensitive and dry. So lets see how the results are in a few weeks.

Thanks for reading! Hope you guys go to your nearest 99 cent store and buy those false lashes! Definitely worth it.

Walgreens Skin Care Haul!

So I have been broke lately and I have been washing my face with hand soap, putting body lotion on my face, so my skin is horrible right now! Not to mention I also ran out of make up remover. So finally I got myself 20$ which is not what I normally spend on skin care products. I go for about 40 or 50$. Anyways the Ponds creams were buy one get one free. Thank god. They are small but they will do for now. I love Ponds cold cream, it's my favorite when it comes to taking my make up off. Never tried Ponds dry skin cream, but we will see. The mint julep masque, i have been wanting to try this since i have heard so many good things about it. Finally got it, and it's cheap. I actually thought it would be around 9 or 10$. Cetaphil daily facial cleanser, I have heard good things about this product as well. I am excited to try this. I usually stick to Olay but will go back to it once I have my money. Oh by the way all this was 20$!!! WOOOHOO!

Leopard glitter nails.

I used the glitter nail polish as a base. Qtip for the gold to make dots around my nails. An old Liquid liner brush, which is stiff! Dip it with black nail polish and draw little C's around the gold circles. Simple.

I am really into glitter right now! I Love it! Any who I found this photo on google which was actually my inspiration for my leopard nails. I don't know who is from or else I would credit them!

Favorite Mascara

The Apple Super Lash Mascara in Black. I use this Mascara as a primer which holds the curl and gives length. After this I apply any mascara to define it. I love wearing thick mascara but my lashes always seem to fall. This has definitely made a complete change and makes my lashes definitely defined! Literally this is the ONLY mascara that holds my curl! Literally!!!!!!

Apple Mascara
This is the Rimmel Mascara Over. Now to be honest I don't like the Rimmel mascara nor will I use it at all unless I use the Apple mascara. Makes a dramatic difference! Big time! My lashes will not look like this unless I have the Apple Mascara used as a primer. Also I am aware that my brows need to be seriously done lol. I am waiting on my sister to do mine since she always does. :)
Here's an example of my eye without using the Apple Mascara, and my reason why I do not like Rimmel Mascara!

Okay so this is my natural lash! I dont have a natural curl =[.

This is it once I've used and eyelash curler.
Okay if you click this photo to enlarge you will see how gross it looks. It clumps and my didn't hold much of my curl. Big difference? I believe so. I hate this mascara alone! ha ha ha.

Hope this will help those who have a hard time to keep that lash up! This has definitely helped me! Thanks for reading!!!

P.S. I am not sure if they sell this Mascara in many countries since they usually sell this in Mexico, which is where it's made. But I do know they do sell this in the U.S. and it's cheap! It's about $2.95. You can buy it off  Ebay though! =]

DIY Studded Boots

As you may know I have been obsessed with these boots and been wanting them forever. But they are sold out in black and a little too pricey for me. So I decided, what the heck! I'll make my own since I usually recreate my own clothes & shoes anyways!

Okay so originally I wanted Silver Studs on my boots, but unfortunately this is all I have due to my D.I.Y jacket I did in the past.
So instead I used a Gold Studded belt I had bought from a Goodwill for my arts & crafts box a while back. I actually forgot I had this belt or I would have done this sooner! :(  Anyways,  You're going to need an old studded belt of your choice or just individual studs in general.
Okay so I used a mini screwdriver to take out the studs from the belt, & I used a small sharp nail to make holes in my boots for the studs. U can use a hammer and piece of wood to pierce your boot, but in my case my boots are so old I was able to do it by hand.
I started out with the tongue of the shoe.

Here's the finished product! Do you love it? lol

Unicorn Nails

This was probably the hardest to keep neat! I could not get rid of some of the glitter off the side of my nails. lol  Okay so obviously there is no unicorn in any of these nails but these colors remind me of a unicorn colors so I decided to name them Unicorn Nails. ha ha ha. This took a lot of layering of different polishes & I am actually satisfied with the outcome.
These are all the nail polishes I used for this look! Literally From right to left in the specific order. I also used a make up sponge for the solid holographic nail polishes and dabbed it on all that glitter piled up on my nails.
Also I been using Nail Tek on my nails and it has been doing wonders for my nails. My nails have been growing and looking a lot more healthier with this product. My best friend Emma actually got me this so I don't know really where to buy this from. But strongly recommend it!
So hope u liked these nails and hopefully you can show me some of your nails I can check out!
Thanks for reading! <3

FOTD Blackberry Lipstick

Mary Kate Olsen is one of my hugest inspirations! I love her style! For some reason I am obsessed with this dark lip look on her!
I used Make up Designory's  Lip Liner in Brick, Blackberry Lipstick. It's a dark red/brown lip tone to it which I am digging to be honest. Do you guys happen to know of any other red/brown lipsticks? I have have heard of just brown lipsticks which I am not to fond of. But I would like to know any other lipsticks I can try. =]

American/British Nails

Since I miss Emma so much I decided to do crazy nails on myself. She was pretty much my inspiration for this look! I did American flag nails on my left hand, and the U.K flag on my right! I am not a great artist when it comes to doing nails but i did my best! I am one of those people who does not have a steady hand when it comes to doing a straight line. LOL like a wing liner for example! Although practice makes perfect. Better luck next time! lol
I got my American flag inspiration from Beyonce.
